    Its same for all the classes….I mean, if there is a price rise, every citizen has to pay the same amount. So all are affected.

    Who is responsible ?? I don’t know !!!

    Solution == Stop going to America and working for another nation when your own mother land needs you !! I’m not trying to be negetive or anything ( I respect all nations ), but God helps those who help themselves !
    Work here, make money here, help your people first.

    @ priya
    its affects all but it affects more badly the lower middle class and the people are who are already in need of money ..
    adn yes people should stop going abraod now that opportunities are vast in india but then it would not help in decreasing inflation …
    one of the main causes of inflation is because people these days are paid more and hence value of money decreases….

    solution ..well i dont really think of any… ๐Ÿ™„

    @Arvind

    Well..brain drain also effects inflation ..u know..
    ppl are paid more coz more demand for work bt less workers ..i think so ๐Ÿ˜€

    well yes to some extent but not much .. but now the man power in our country is huge ..
    there is no way there would be a shortage .
    and with the IT boom the average pay of a person among the working class has increased to a great extent.
    well, but yes i wont count out the brain drain factor ๐Ÿ˜›

    our whole system structure is responsible for inflation. But we can’t change it because the original one has been modified-re modified so many times that it is damaged beyond repair.

    1

    Price rise is a global situation and its not just in India.. this Inflation is more of “Imported Inflation”

    2

    As a short term measure, re adjusting taxes will be the best option.. but we need to make ourselves ready to face such situations in future.. long term actions are necessary for this .

    3 Everyone is affected … but Poor is more affected because of rise in prices of food grains..

  8. June 7, 2008 1:33 pm

    Who is responsible for price rise? Well, I think everyone is in a way. The government seems to be spending too much on the army. The rich are spending too much on luxuries. The middle class is trying to become richer. The poor are giving birth to too many children. Everyone is responsible.

    And everyone is affected in their own way.

    Solution? there are quite a few, but the thing is, does anyone want to co-operate?

  9. June 7, 2008 3:00 pm

    @ish: we are here to co-operate…specially if it is to stop the bad corporates…and also correct ourselves….it is better if we do it now,than later,isn’t it/ we are young and can adjust ๐Ÿ™‚

    I agree with priya…same for all classes and none other than us if responsible for the price hikes……why do we chose such ministers who do this?? why do we destroy the environment that the oil price hikes??

    Solution:- become eco-friendly and that will be a solution to all major problems including a minor solution to this one! Other than this…yes, work for the country and not for yourself…..serve humanity!!

  11. July 4, 2008 6:15 pm

    @ meghna
    what has oil price hike to do with environment??
    and being eco freindly would never help during inflation..

    @Priya,
    Inflation mostly affects the lower and lower-middle class people. I don’t think it really makes a differnence to the rich class. if some1 has the power to buy a mercedes, he can easly spend some 150 rs. or so more for the same goods that once used to be cheap.

    @meshnak,
    being eco-friendly is not the solution. it’s about using money wisely. if u start running cars on water, there will be scarcity of water. It just goes that way. and there will be inflation again. so… spend wisely.

    rise in petrol prices is only one of the reasons for inflation….let’s not forget the sub-prime mortgage crisis… it caused the stock markets everywhere to fall. That is probably another reason for the inflation…
    I think the lower middle class is affected the most. That is because they are jammed between two sections of society-the poor and the upper middle class and rich….
    They don’t enjoy as many subsidies as the poor, but don’t have as much as the upper middle class to support themselves…the rich are pretty much unaffected….i mean, c’mon, now Ambani has to spend like 15 instead of 10 crores to buy a new jet for his dear wife…..I don’t really think that’ll affcet him….
    I’m not 2 sure about a solution, but my eco text says that encouraging savings and increasing tax will help reduce inflation…however, i dunno if that’s practical in the present situation….

    If India’s politicians pumped in even one-tenth of their loot, i think the situation will come under control…in india at least….

    @kaddhu,
    i so agree with u. haha.
